Coalescence

Commissioned for City of Coral Springs ArtWalk

Narrative: A pair of towering, intertwined steel orchids come alive with colored lights and a bespoke soundscape triggered by capacitive touch sensors in the leaf-like benches. Inspired by both nature and quantum mechanics, the installation invites curiosity, reflection, and play. As each orchid responds to contact with the other, visitors experience an immersive experience, a seamless blend of light, sound, and sculptural form where beauty, science, and interactivity converge. Originally designed for Burning Man, Coalescence is now a permanent public artwork in Coral Springs, FL.
