Roots

Commissioned for Parking Garage on 618 Magazine Street, New Orleans

Narrative: Roots is a permanent installation in the lobby of the parking structure at 618 Magazine Street, with full visibility from the street. It is inspired by the roots and branches of New Orleans’ live oaks.  The form is the result of a generative process using computational design to simulate growth through the hallway leading to the elevators.
